Oil not draining from the Cylinders? Plus a second question

Little back ground. After letting my 68 Road Runner sit outside for the last 8 years I am getting the 383 ready to be started. I am dumping Marvel Mystery oil down the cylinders to get the rings lubed up.

It has set for about a week, and today I tried to add more oil to the cylinders but they are still full?

So either

A Rings are good a tight
B Engine is so rusted, the oil cannot get past the rings?

I was all so surprised by how little Oil I could get in the motor, only around 40 to 45 oz of oil?

Would I be better off installing the plugs, pull the rockers and forces the intake valves open and pour down the intake runners?

Boy, if the Road Runner Fires up it is going to look like a 383 2 Stroke!

Put a 1 1/8" ( I think) socket on the crank bolt and try to hand crank it with the plugs out. If you get it spinning then have at her! Priming the oil pump probably would be a good idea too if it sat that long?

Don't worry, the motor will be pr oiled before I try to turn it over!

I all so starting to think I am worried about nothing about the oil not leaking out from around the rings. When I have pulled heads before in the past, there is all wise some anti freezes that gets in the cylinder, and it does not run out. But, then again I never let it sit for a week either!  :scratchchin:
