Silly question, but I didn't take my 68 apart before the full restoration.
Can you guys describe or post pictures as to where the positive and negative battery cables terminate?

No pics at the moment but the negative goes under the intake bolt under the throttle return spring bracket. The positive goes to the firewall mounted starter relay and the starter motor.

Any chance of getting a photo of that location on an a/c car?

here is my car... its a 74, but I don't thing earlier should be diff... You'll find 2 bolts provision on a side... note the cable attached on the first of the two compressor provisions, with a 9/16" hex bolt... a little bit hidden by the compressor bracket

sure your car will have the steering pump higher than mine, but thats because a diff setup 'cause the year.

Hey Nacho, what's up with the U shaped metal pieces on the battery terminals? :popcrn:

Nacho-RT74

Those are terminals which uses that clamp to close and open them like a spring, instead use the bolt and nut to tight. That allows me to release them in case of emergency.

They are available around here allmost everywhere, but I can't find a pic on the web to show you.

That's a good idea, I wonder if Jegs or Summit would carry those.
