I can tell by the gas line that it is a Black on black 71 Hemi RR with bench seats, 8 Track, rear defrost and tinted windows.  I couldn't tell what tranny.  I'll take it!!

No, no, they always do the paint. It's everything beneath the paint that needs work.

And are you ever going to tell us what kind of Hemi car it was and how it got crumpled?

Nwcharger

It's a hemi Cuda 4 speed. 70 or 71 i forgot. It had 4-5 thousand miles on it when parked. Story go's, the owner bought the car new. In the 4-5k miles he burnt up the clutch. After removing the motor/transmission another project needed the garage space so the owner pushed the car out of the garage and into the lot across the street (which he owned) here the car sat for years. I don't want to give the location but the guy lived very close to the coast here in oregon. As the car started to fall apart the owner would simply pick the parts up and toss them on top of the car. It's a sad story for such a cool car. My neighbor has the motor and trans from it but will never sell it.

And is it one of those cars where the title survived and got sold off?  (please say no)

Nwcharger

I don't really know. My neighbor told me he got a phone call a year or 2 ago from someone he's doesn't know asking about the motor/trans wanting to buy it but he will never sell So maybe. He has the vin recorded. Thinking on it I'm pretty sure it's a 71.
