Daaaayuuuum!

Can't really say I'll miss him becuase I don't think he's been in anything new for quite some time.

I'll still enjoy the old Three's Company re-runs and his cheesy b-movies from the late '60's and early to mid '70's.

Todd Wilson

He was cool! We have lost another one from the old school!

Great movie, us older guys appreciate him much more, because he has not done anything for a long time.

thats a-shame, i just turned 18 and i still love the andy griffith show....
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Yup!

Soon as I read the title of the post it made me want to watch that one and, "Hot Lead, Cold Feet", too.

I think that he wasn't one to milk his reputation by doing just anything later in life just adds to the fact that when you look back at his career, you mainly see shining examples of timeless comedy.

Rather than a slew of mediocre crap done just to be prolific.

Remember him in the movie "Pleasantville"?  I think that might have been his last film role, if I'm not mistaken.

I believe so.

Personally, I think that Barney Fife might be one of the best TV charactors ever created, and, loved all of Don Knotts work, that I've seen.  He is one of the reasons that The Andy Griffith show is one of my favorite television shows.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Not kidding at all when I say that I consider Mr. Knotts one of the all time top 5 funniest actors. I remember watching his movies (60's comedys) & Andy Griffith when I was quite young and realizing even then that he had something many other comedians didnt. I guess that self effacing aspect of his humor really made it seem even more real. Mr. Knotts, you are genuinely missed. I havent been this touched by a celebrity passing since Guy Williams (space dad & sword wielder)  :'(
