Neighborhood had the usual July 4th parade today at 10am but, it was, by far, the smallest turnout since it was started. Nice day with temps in th low 80's. We did not get the usual newsletter telling us about it, A couple of Constables leading and using their sirens and about 10 cars!  Kinda sad!

On a brighter note, Starsky and Hutch came!  Ha!

A small turnout is better than no turnout.  Hopefully, next year will be better. :2thumbs: :popcrn:

And a Striped Tomato is not the worst thing that could show up either.  ;D

Not sure if it is a 2013 or not but, it is a new Challenger in the driveway across the street.  This is basically, an older neighborhood with the homes being built in the early to mid-70's and, I guess the populace just isn't as active as in years past. Not even any Fire Trucks leading the way and blaring their horns and sirens in this one. Just a couple of Constable's Tahoes running their lights and blowing their horns

hmm, a bit deppressing that they chose to run it anyway when their preporation efforts must have been minimal

charge69

Agreed! It should have been just called off instead of this pitiful attempt!

Ours was bout the same too. Maybe people's is getting prepared for 4 more years...
