I may get an even bigger headache.  Holy crap that hurt, I've hit my head on that thing so many times you'd think I'd be a bit more careful but noooooooooooo.

I need to wrap a pillow around that hook.

You know what, I'm gonna do the same!  I need to check timing again and take it out for another spin but once parked to do major upgrades, I'm taking it off!

Its a Mopar rite of passage.

I first hit my head on the 68's hood latch in '95.  I thought you weren't supposed to repeat rites of passage?   :icon_smile_big:

Don't you just love the hook at perfect head height.

Hmm, maybe its a rite of passage and a hallmark?  I bang my head a couple of times a year too, it must be kind of like the Ford Cobra Jet guys who keep burning their fingers changing plugs?

My head is so scabbed over and calloused........I don't even feel it any more.  I come inside and the wife says........"you're bleeding again"........that's the first I know of it.   :shruggy:

i've never dealt with a charger hood latch, but if its anything like that stupid grille divider on 69-72 oldsmobiles... i'll be too short to hit my head on it  ::)

JB400

Put your hand on the latch, and you'll never hit your head again.  No, you won't hit your hand with your head.

I'm thinking, if you can remember to put your hand on the latch to avoid hitting your head..........you'd be able to remember not to hit it with your head in the first place.

Ahhh, yes, the BRAIN hook!
What a crappy design! Seems they could have left the hook in the lower section and just had a loop on the hood!
