Hi am looking for one front sway bar bracket for a 69 charger.

The one that is on my car broke (weird...I think it must have had a small hair line crack in it when I originally put on the car).  I found out this morning as I tried to take the car out and heard loud thunking sounds coming from the front passenger side of the car.

Does anyone know where I could source a new one??

Thanks!!

I can take one tonight when I get home.  It is the bracket that the bushing sits in right on the K-member.   I am looking for the passenger side.

Just 6T9 CHGR

They are left & right specific & are not reproduced.....   If it cracked at the weld point it can be rewelded to repair it....

Chris, I thought somebody out there was repopping the '68 - '69 style brackets now?  :shruggy:
I did a quick search, but could not find the source.

Miamivice, if you are in a bind Mancini sells sway bar adapter plates so you can mount '70-up style brackets.

I 'may' have that bracket as I still have the stock sway bar.  Will look tonight and let you know.

Are they size specific?  I'm not sure what size bar I had on there but it was a 318 car.

Thanks that would be great!

Not sure if there are different sizes...but my car was originally a 318 car and the sway bar in the car is the original one so I would assume it would be the same.

I may have been wrong here.  I assumed the sway bar was the stock part because there's an aftermarket bar on my car now, installed by the po.  I measured the old bar at .94" or 15/16 and that's for an R/T.  I think the stock sway bar for a 318 car is 7/8.  My drive train came out of a '71 squad car so the bar may have been for that car.  My best guess is that it came out of a Polara.  You may want to measure yours but as long as the brackets are the same it should work with the correct size bushing.  How you're gonna get the bracket on I don't know as I likely will have to mangle the bushing to get the bracket off.

Here's a few pics, let me know if you need more measurements.

Thanks Dino.  I am actually getting ready to leave for London for a work trip and will be back next weekend, so I will have to wait until then to go crawl under the car and have a look.   Will let you know...

Not a problem, it's not in my way.  Enjoy your trip!
