Where does the cigarette lighter power supply come from?

Hi all.

I thought the cigarette lighter power supply on my 73 should come from the accessory power but it seems to have power all the time regardless of the ignition switch position. Is this right?

yeah it runs to the fuse box  think it is the second fuse from the left from memory , lookin at the fuse box  (69)
