Any tricks to adjust rear brakes?

I will be adjusting the rear brakes on my Dana 60 after I change my emergency brake cables. Are there any tricks to use when adjusting? It is a pain in the butt because of the suregrip. I usually adjust them by sound and feel but spinning the tire while adjusting the brakes is tough because of the added drag.

I have both tires off the ground.
At least I know the Sure grip is working well!
