I bet they didn't have a mosquito problem.

Poor bat buddies. They are just minding their own business.

Hopefully the home owner and neighbors will build and mount some bat houses so the bats stay in the area. Bats are our friends.

:iagree:

I need to install some bat houses as well.  They can have the mosquitos they can find and I won't even charge them for rent!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

:iagree: bats are beneficial . you should come over here and get a load of our flying foxes.  literally as big as a foxy dog with wings  a flock can  destroy  an orchard in a night   :o   but some of our native species rely on them for pollination so its all good in the end ,except for the poor orchardists  :'(

It would be hard to find a home for all of those. You've have to build an entire village.  ;D   Bit sad really seeing them lose their place of residence. Hope they found somewhere safe to settle.    They sure are small. As poly says, ours are BIG!  They don't call them flying foxes for nothing.

They are beneficial until they fill your roof with bat poop. The last few rows of tile they pulled were choked with guano. :eek2:

But not under the roof. The roof is no place for any living critter.    :slap:  Get out at once!

Bat guano....good insulation but probably not a good aroma seeping into the house.....

They use guano for making gunpowder and fertilizer, so it has some good uses.  Might be valuable to some.

I was thinking the same thing. I remember seeing a documentary when I was a kid about the strong ammonia-like smell from it. The crew going into the cave had to wear respirators.   :o

Cool video though, I love seeing bats.
