has anyone ever installed a flip top gas cap on a 74 charger? if so, do you have pics?

That would be tricky, you'd have to get the cap mounted to the quarter (probably section in a chunk of the 69 quarter where the dimple is), plug the original filler (or swap tanks, if it would fit), find a filler tube and get it all put together.  The filler tube itself might be a problem, they aren't cheap if you can find one.  It sounds like lots of work fo something that a lot of non Mopar types would even notice?

would be kinda cool, you could look into a shelby cobra gas cap, the have a neck below the cap to attach a 2" hose to reach the gas tank, would be easier,  :cheers:

If you want the look of a flip top gas cap does it really need to work? If not make sure it won't allow filling your trunk with gas.

It would be a lot of work, but look cool. It would probably be easier to add the flip top cap from a Challenger (graft in that section of a chally quarter), than to try to fit in a 68/70 cap.  :Twocents:

I've seen them installed on a lot of other cars that never came with them so there has to be a way.
