really nice car, I like the front turn signal assemblies, but I don't care for the red horn button.

is it just me thinking somethings wrong here? Seller has been a eBay member since 2009 and only had one transaction since then.....

moparstuart

Red interiors got red horn buttons with the woodgrain wheel... this one looks a bit bright for my taste as well...might just be the flash of the camera?

This pic shows one a bit toned down.

Allen has black Legendary leather interior. I bet he won't take that out to go red  ;D

Nice car, crazy price.   Not long ago another Hemi Clone went up, could not even get 40K for it on auction, tried 3 times.   For 90K you can get a nice real Wing Car nowadays.  There was a real Daytona that sold a few weeks ago for 80k, looked OK cosmetically, though had been totaled at one time, which killed a lot of its value,  but still presentable.  NO SALE ON THIS ONE.

A383Wing

Just noticed the red console as well...I have never seen one

that horn button is way too bright for me

Bob T

Wow, ticks all the boxes for me  :drool5:
I'm sure I could live with the red horn for a few weeks at least

with all the "red" talk I took a closer look, and what I see is IMO!( :nana:) a lot of the interior parts have been dyed red. the seats look a little mottled to me indicating they've been sprayed red. The door panels, dash pads, and horn button are too red definitely not the factory red.  :Twocents: :smilielol:

:yesnod: thats the first thing i noticed. nice car
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

ppl seem to be sooo worried about a damn red horn center cap.....

Here are a couple of other thing to think about.....

The lack of proper headliner...
The 83/4 rear axle...

I'm gonna guess as it has the 83/4 axle prolly also has a 23 spline trans....

Still,, a very pretty car overall....  Would not kick it outta my driveway...   :2thumbs:

I don't know Dave, I think the seat covers are new, could be the material?....I remember when I had my Daytona at the Nationals, 2 guys were remarking on the "fact" that my vinyl roof was painted, and with a brush! :smilielol: as they could see the "brush strokes"...when in reality it was a brand new Legendary white vinyl roof, and the grain was "fresh" and pronounced, rather than the faded, lack luster 40 year old stuff, or cheap 80's rebop stuff most are use to looking at....anyhow, I'm realy digging the red interior, and red wing on the black, some redline tires on the magnums would really set it off......nice car, just needs a few things addressed :Twocents:

which brings up this question......were the consoles ever any color from the factory besides black?

I'm not talking about the carpet on the sides, I'm referring to the actual plastic piece or pieces

held1823

the plastic is blue in the b5 car here

Yes, for the most part, the color of the interior dictated the color of the console. As far as I recall, the only color interior that didn't get a matching colored console was white, it was black........ Better said, the console typically matched the dash color. Yes, I have seen plenty of reds in my day......

Regarding this car, albeit components of the interior might not be a perfect match, the attempt to duplicate a red interior was pretty much spot on.....  Good looking car.... I would definitely want to save some money and shove a Dana 60 in there...... Clones don't have to be 100% correct to get the message... Speaking of messages, I guess a picture is worth a 1000 words........ He's pretty short on description I'd say.....

Different light sources have different color temperatures measured in degrees Kelvin.  Daylight is about 5500° as is flash. Sunshine at noon is about 5400 or so.  Tungsten light vary from about 2800° to about 3400° and these different light sources will render things different colors.  Then throw in over or underexposure which also changes the colors of whatever was photographed, then add different computer screens, and it is amazing that reds show as reds!  If you were to see this upholstery with your eyes I'm sure it matches closer that what appears here.

Is the factory red really that blotchy?  Looks like someone just rattlecanned the interior.

johntpr

Yes, red interiors are not solid red, and do have some darker colered pattern in them.

Bob T

The red guts with Black is the win for me
