So i decided that the 70 rt from the previous topic wasn't going to cut it. I found a 1967 4 door Hardtop Impala. Like the one from supernatural think the guy is coming to trade but will keep you posted and pics if you like. Even though it's not mopar for now.... Wanna know more or leave it alone since it's not Mopar? Pics coming soon if it's ok by DC.com rules..

I had a '68 Impala four door several years ago...

I was tickled shitless when I got $400 for it. ::)

What i was thinking is the value of a 67 4 door HT is pretty up there shouldn't have a prob finally getting the 69 Charger i have always wanted and this one just needs a small amount of TLC and it will be a Mettalicar Clone :)

The value of any 4-door car is going to tough to make any profit from it.
My 1st car was a 69 Impala with a 327 auto.

What's it got for a power plant/trans? :popcrn:

Cr@sH24701

It has in it now a 350 bored 60 over. I have always thought that was a little to thin for that block but the car is in great shape. Only needs pass side quarter replaced, breaks replaced, back seat recovered and that sleek black paint job. All chrome is there just has to be put back together. Oh and is missing one rear glass. So I think I'm making a killer trade and can't wait to have it in the driveway.....

Sounds like quite the investment for a 4 door.  It's not a decision I would make personally, but I hope you have fun with it.  Maybe, if it was a 2 door, I would.

4dr car built before the 1990s = little or no collectible value whatsoever.

I'm not defending this mindset, I'm just pointing out what is.

UNLESS, you find the person who just has to have it, jacked up with 40" rims on it and 7-UP scribbled all down the side like a sponsor or something....

NO 2dr is worth a 4dr as far as money goes. Good luck, but I think you might be getting hosed in this one. Especially, for a RR.

Everyone is telling you this sounds like a loser, I am no different. Sounds like it needs work and people will NOT be lining up to look at it when it's done.

You are actually considering trading that RR clone for that? I would take a step back and do some serious rethinking on that deal. I'm not trying to hurt anyones feelings, but seriously only a small group of people would even give a restored one of those a second look, and you are tens of thousands of dollars away from even that point.   :Twocents:

I agree and it is true the long term pay back is dismal. On the other hand that is a well preserved 46 year old car. To scrap it seems wrong. I vote to save it some how and enjoy it without high expectations.
Who knows 40 yrs from now 4 doors may be the hot thing because we dumped them all today.

What do ya'll feel a 73 Satellite sport is worth? Originally a 318 car no a/c but does have disc brakes in the front. in my other post i have pics

Man I would run away from that deal, but then again I would not have entertained it from the get go. RR is worth more than that. That car is worth ($1000) at best MAJOR project car and you will NEVER recoup any money you sink into that 4 door Chevy.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Daytona R/T SE

You know...

If you want to throw that RR clone away...

I'm sure someone here will come and haul it away for you.

That Chevy ain't worth the gas to drag it home.   :eek2:

I like it   Don't let people stop you from building something, and if im completely honest i think a 67 chevy 4 door is a bit better looking than a 73/74 plymouth  :P but i ask what does this have to do with dodge chargers again  :shruggy:  ohyeah and this is a distant projection, but just like a certain orange 69 b-body, years from now people may be searching high and low for a certain black 67 4 four door they saw on tv back when they were a kid  :Twocents:

Cr@sH24701

Not sure what i'm going to do just yet. I have read everyone's opinions and advice. I do realize it will be a lot of work but on the upside the car looks pretty solid and has a running 350. Unlike mine being a rolling shell. He also has the numbers matching engine that goes to the car. As for getting rid of the rr clone. I don't wanna scrap it and won't but trying to find a way to get a Charger. It's one hell of a route to get to it but hey gotta do what i gotta do. So anyone have a decent Charger project willing to trade for the 73 rr clone feel free to speak up. But really guy's i do thank you for the advice and opinions

I remember a TV show called 'Family Matters' with a young up and coming actor called "Steph-on". His name on the show was Steve Erkle...On the show he drove a POS little ghey car with three wheels. I still see no one trying to cruise that thing and that show has been off the air for at least 15 years.

Just because it was on some TV show, or some movie doesn't mean it will become what the General Lee is/was...People tend to forget so easily the Car has to be COOL in the beginning in order to make a movie/TV icon like the GL.
