What size are the small gauge bezel holes in a 2nd gen?

I'm trying to find gauges that can fit behind the bezel holes.  The idea is to take an aftermarket gauge, remove the trim and glas/plastic lens and overlay the stock gauge face.  So I need to know what size gauge I'm looking for.  I'm not sure how gauges are measured, face only or the whole unit.

your gonna have to drill the holes just a tad bigger I bought some 3 1/8 size guages for my setup and kept fckin up and messed up two bezels and I just said fck it and buy another cluster bezel and just have my aftermarket guages lye under the dash somewhere and my monster tach around the steering wheel.

There are some members who did a great job modding their bezel with aftermarket im just not good enough for it.

With everything I did to the car this weekend I didn't even think to take a quick measurement myself.

I don't want to touch the bezel, it needs to look stock or it'll defeat the purpoise.  What I have in mind may not work at all so I'm thinking of finding another cluster housing and bezel to play around with.

It's silly but I get excited planning this little project!

Hi Dino,

Take a look at the Autogage series of 1-1/2 inch gauges. The number for the oil pressure gauge is 2354, but they have a whole series of other gauge types as well. Summit Racing carries them and you can check them out there. They look like they might fit right in behind a second generation dash bezel if you take the gauges out of their original cases.

Charger-Bodie

On the cover of the new mopar muscle they show an aftermarket gauge panel for a 69 ralleye dash looks basically stock but has aftermarket gauges.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

It's going to be real though finding gauges that fit so I'm ready to do some major surgery, once I find a spare cluster.  Pete that gauge would work real nice, they don't carry the fuel gauge in that line but that's okay, I can mix and match.

I'm going to look for that cover now, I have to see that!
