'68 black Charger restomod on ebay - 1000 HP!

I didn't see that this car had a thread here yet, but wow - what a build!  The car looks great, but I wonder how it would drive on the street.  1000 HP and nitrous?  Sounds like more than anyone could want/use off the track.  Sure seems to be going reasonably cheap though.  I don't know what an engine setup like that would cost, if that's what you wanted, but it's got to be a lot.

price is inline for custom drivers like this.  though folks would demand 80k for something like due to dreaming but reality wise as in market this is the right price proabbaly hit low 50k.

That's the type of car (black without vinyl top, buddy seat) that I'd be interested in - but I don't want the headache/maintenance of a super high power engine.

I like it that way as well.  Never been a fan of black wheels with black sidewalls.  You might as well just run a solid black wheel.

Seller says all panels are original, and no bondo.  I'd be tempted to look into this further if I hadn't just bought a car at Mecum in Indy.   Better wait awhile before pursuing another, to keep my wife from

Yeah, that pic with the 17" magnums makes me want a black b-body with 17/18" magnums baddddd......

Not to be a wet blanket...    but it's nothing too crazy...    4-speed...   black paint...    supercharger kit...     Hell for all any of us know it is a smog era 440 he just put a blower on and a cam in to sound good....       not knocking it but I would never spend the $$$ unless you saw it built. 

I don't see anything extremely stand out about it. Nice?  yes...    but the price reflects the craftsmanship.

you wont make 1000 hp with iron heads ,no mater how big the blower is,more like 500 . also a stock block is good for 650-700 hp they will crack the main bearing webbing if you go much more.

good point!!!  Remmeber reading about how to build big blocks book that very few are good for 1000HP the bottom end it he weak point good for max 800 and very few are even that good in the 440.  He is probably good for 600 on that setup he has alot of guys have 500HP near stock 440s, well minus for headers, heads, etc..

 The 2nd to last sentence says that the car is "estimated to make 1000hp".  Estimate my ass!! I wanna see a dyno sheet. Well I'll go ahead and estimate my car to make 1500hp how's that?  I'm selling it for 200 grand...any takers?

I don't know about the HP - but it's going to be more than adequate.  Sold for $43k.  Probably couldn't reproduce it for that.

Just as I predicted.....in that range.

The sweet spot for our cars (2nd gen) is roughly at 20k to 40k with no mods and with mods max 50k and thats a full resto mod.

I don't know about the HP - but it's going to be more than adequate.  Sold for $43k.  Probably couldn't reproduce it for that.
