Anybody else see the commercial for the new dart with a black 68 charger.
The cast throw a arrow at a map ,lands on San Francisco. The next scene they are going thru the motions as the Bullitt chase scene.
Was on last night during the hockey game.

Ghoste

As much as I like seeing the Charger there I think they have the car order reversed.

The Dart would never be able to keep up

Have not seen that one yet, however, the one that aired about a month ago, starts with a garage scene, where buddy is waxing a new dart , the girlfriend picks up a dart(a dart game dart, not the car)   off the work bench, the camera focuses on the bench, the container the dart was in and the 2nd gen Charger toy model, before she throws the dart. Just a small camio of the Charger, but clearly trying to associate that little Italian car, with the legend of past power.

up to 59 mpg?? so these get better gas mileage then a TDI Jetta ? i thought they were rated 39-41 hwy at the best. :shruggy:

cool ad though

If I were in the new car market I would be seriously considering buying a new Dart!! People are getting great MPG out of these things, if they hold up and seem to be a well built car with little mechanical failure then I will probably buy one in a year or two.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

The 59MPG that Dodge is claiming is in the Canadian market and is based on a 4.55 litre imperial gallon, not the 3.8 Liter gallon used in the USA.

41 mpg hwy is what is claimed in the USA advertising.

Ghoste

Wouldn't the Canadian ads use litres per 100km?

GOTWING

i figured being a Canadian ad had something to do with it, but the mpg's through me off.
