Found mopar parts stash

So I get a call from my mom. She tells me that her boyfriend's dad is in an old folks home and so it's up to them to clean up the old guy's place. Seems her boyfriend and his dad were diehard mopar fans and the old guy's place shows it.

I've been set aside a complete A-body 8 3/4 rear end (non-suregrip), a '68 Dart grille, side mirrors, and a few other Dart odds and ends. All for free. Just have to wait a couple weeks for my grandparents to drive across Canada to see my mom and thus shuttle the parts back to BC for free :D

But it doesn't end there. Transmissions both 727 and 4 speeds. Cuda consoles, tail lights, bumpers, hoods, rear ends, etc. All left over from when the old man used to run a couple Cudas!

But the scary part is most of this stuff will go for scrap! It's being left in the garage and basement until the house sells and then whatever is left over is being scrapped! Seems a Cuda hood (Rally Hood?) was already thrown out simply because it was rusty on the underside bands.

If I had the truck and  money I'd go over and collect everything, clean it, sell it, and split the money with him just to save it!

It's lack of storage space on my mom's boyfriend's part. He will sell as many as he can until the place is sold. I told him though that I'd be willing to pay shipping on anything that was left....

This is going to happen more and more. There are hundreds of guys like him getting ready to take the next step, and the cars and parts that they leave behind can be worth thousands!
If nothing else, these parts can help a fellow Mopar guy finish his/her car.

There are guys with pole barns stuffed full of stuff, one heart beat  away from flooding the market...
or the dumpster!   :Twocents:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Tell him you will post on here for him, or other sites, & yes I will probably be one of those guys.

Offered but he didn't want the hassle of cleaning parts and taking pictures and answering multiple messages about an item.

I think most people would prefer the parts aren't cleaned. I just had a guy near me clear out his parts stash too, as he was moving. I ended up with some 4-speed parts, a 26" radiator, some odd and end gaskets and old Direct Connection catalogs for free. I bought a 69, 440 from him for 200 bucks. He had some old headers and a aftermarket 440 6pak manifold I could have bought. Anything I didn't want went to an auction and some other Chevy motors he had simply went to scrap. Unfortunately these days for most people, old car parts are simply just junk.
