So would you leave the Power door locks on a 68 or yank them.

Well now that I know they are not supposed to be on a 68 R/T would you guys leave them or should I pull them to keep the origonality. The actuators are installed and they dont seem to make it any harder to unlock or lock the door. If your vote is to leave them how would you wire it up just one switch in the drivers door so when you enter or leave you can hit the button or would you put it just slightly under the dash by your knee or something so its hidden to keep the origonal look. Or would you pull them.....Thanks......Dave

I am with the keep them group.

My buddy installed power door locks and a power trunk release in his 69.

If it has power windows and you can run the wires in the same loom, and can get a key fob to make them work, Why not keep them? Can you still use them manual just like the originals?

I'd keep them ,Hide the switch like mentioned above. If they cause any issue or you can't find a part, you can always disconnect them.

Keep them!  I'm having a truckload of power goodies ready to go on my car.  Power door locks with remote control, power windows with one touch feature + remote, power trunk lock with under dash switch and remote control.  Alarm, remote starter and who knows what else I have here!

if they are there why not use them? I would if I found them in my car.

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Kinda tuff nowadays to keep anything electronically safe from hackin....  just saw a news report on car thieves using some type of handheld scanner to unlock/ start cars remotely if they have that feature.... always good to install a kill switch somewhere's....

I would keep them...     I would also mount a switch panel on the driver's door and passenger door (double and single respectively) -- however, I would source factory power window switches and wire them to the lock / unlock feature...   that way some "know it alls" as shows will do a double take...
