The only thing I don't like about semi-auto shotguns is the problem of using the variety of tactical stocks offered to pump owners. About the only thing I can get for my Remington 1100 is a pistol grip integrated into a traditional stock, which is the same story on the Benelli M2 Tac.

I'll be there Bryan.  :D

I hear you Bull. For me a pistol grip on a shotgun, unless its full auto, is like tilts on a bull. HEY I made a funny!

I feel the same way about putting a CQB red dot on a shotgun. Whats the point? This is why they are called scatter guns. Even firing slugs or sabot rounds ghost sights are more than sufficient. IMO

My Benelli came with ghost sights which are plenty. The only upgrade I plan on is an 8+1 capacity and a soft saddle.

I just find the pistol grip to be more comfortable. I don't like the close-in stance of tactical stocks in general but I do like pistol grips.

Excellent news, twodco !! That's a beautiful shotgun and I am with you on pistol grips on a shotgun! I, personally do not like them. People tend to hold the pistol grip a little low, such as shooting from the hip, and it is a great way to sprain or break your wrist when shooting magnum loads or slugs. At the minimum, your control of the shotgun is much better with just a standard pistol grip or even a straight grip. Add an extender to make it 8+1 capacity and be done with it.

I'm very pleased with this purchase albeit pricey. I'm eager to put 30 or 40+ break in rounds through it next week.

All you camel bangers are hereby put on notice.....Fire Base Witter is fully operational.  ;D

Nice Shotty!!! I love Benelli shotguns (except the price!)  :2thumbs:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

That's the gospel right there about price. I've been socking away change for awhile now. I've looked at Mossbergs, Ithaca (military familiarity), Remington's and Saiga's. All of which have their pluses/minuses, some spendy some not.
What the determining factor for me was Bennelli's reputation. This is a scatter gun I'll be able to pass down to my grand boy.
