The first opportunity in a while for a peaceful day using the Charger to melt away stress and as soon as I backed out of the driveway I realized in all the commotion going on lately I completely forgot to get the tag renewed on my plates.  Back into the garage. :pullinghair:

In Ontario?   The part of Canada where your car is impounded if your tires squawk going into second gear and you are charged with stunt driving and or street racing?  Trust me, they will most definitely take an easy fine like expired tags.

JB400

I think you're right Chris.  He's just looking for a reason not to spend more money on fuel.

Baloney they won't! I forgot to get tabs on my Bee and was driving it to my Uncle and Cousin's place a couple years ago. I was going to park it there while we repainted the engine bay, so it wasn't going to be driven for another 2 months after I got it there. Sure enough I got pulled over and got a ticket for expired tabs. Depends on the cop.

It must depend on the cop.  I have had California Black plates on the front of my car for 3 years and so far no peace officer has stopped me...

I imagine the area plays into it as well.

Somehow with the title of this thread, I 'tried' to picture Homer Simpson sliding across the hood of a General Lee....Then, I read it..

I hear ya GHOSTE as I have 2 OPP officers in my neighborhood and they get to see these when they drive home from work  I pass them in my daily driver while going into work around 6am and I wonder if they know who did this. I get a nice chirp into second as well

Find a neighbor Chevy guy and lay down some strips by his place and they can harass him   :hah:
This hobby is more than just our cars, it's the people you get to meet along the way!!!

Ghoste

Brilliant!  And with any luck he'll be out there for hours trying to lay down some of his own and they'll catch him in the act.

I guess I'm lucky - I drive with (non-registered) Year of manufacture plates, expired plates (I have the stickers somewhere....) Chicago plates on the Mr. Norm's stuff etc. etc.

Maybe I just screwed up my luck!

You might be ok now, in July, when school's out. :nana:

69_500

That's not so bad. The last time we went to Talladega I drove the 500 down with expired plates. Did not know it until the next spring I went to put sticker on and saw the one on there had expired a year prior.
