No worries, it's just lynch road living up to it's reputation ;D.   More contributors could help narrow it down and give us a better picture of what was actually going on.

bit more info ,apparently they started using the second tag mid 71 . cars built before JAN-FEB 71 didn't get a second tag . mines CO3( DEC70) so it shouldn't have one.

But mine was built Nov. 70 and it has the inspection tag. ???
I think some goofy stuff happened at the factories as evidenced by the mismatched build sheets, etc.

Does your VIN tag and fender tag have the same "I" typo rather than a "1"?

Funny you should say that. I checked the 1970 calendar and the car was built on a Friday (8/28/70).  71SE3834V your Right On  :2thumbs:

There is no way to know what day the car was actually made from the fender tag.

charge69

Alaskan_TA is basically right as the date on the fender tag is the "scheduled production date" and it could have been built earlier or later than that date by as much as a couple of weeks. It, also, could have been built on that exact date too but you cannot know for sure!

That said, my 1969 Charger also has a Friday production date (314) and it certainly exhibited signs of being made on a Friday when I tore it down with miscellaneous trim screws missing and other telltale signs. Who really knows? No one, for sure!

I was looking at the pic of the mylar door sticker you posted. The 1 for the year is actually an I.
