Anybody using the Hedman Elite series headers in a big block B body?
if so how was install and fit,, ground clearance  etc?

tufamc

A bitch to install, tho i have a B block, RB's may install a bit better with the Headmans. Do what all your searches come up with on this site, save the $$$$ and buy TTI's, problem solved

69' Charger 383 4bbl, TF727.....for now......

Have them on my 73 /440. Had to clearance one tube (#6) for the angle plug Eddy heads so the plug boot had room.  Dimpled slightly for the mini starter. Overall happy with them. The ceramic is much cooler. Ground clearance is good, the aftermarket trans pan is lower. T bar and trans clearance was good. Normal jack the engine slightly to install.

I installed a set of TTI headers on a friends Charger.  :2thumbs:

If you cannot afford the TTI's, get Hookers, I love my Hookers!  Still no leaks after 30 years.

Up here in the north TTI's after importing and tax will set ya back about $1200.
Hookers about $900.
Found a set of used hedmans non ceramic for $25 same part # as the elites at a swap meet.....we'll see how that goes.

I've had the standard hedmans on my 383 since 2001 with a stock starter. No issues. Never replaced the starter. Swapped to a 4 speed in 2010 I think. Headers touch the bellhousing on both sides and do hit the starter now. Still no issues 3 years later though

That's good news. My luck was bad I guess. :-\
