Can someone point me to a picture of TTI 1 7/8 on a low block (383 or 400) installed?  I would like to see how these tuck up under the car, and fit.  I have a scattershield so I know I will have to so some modification, but I would like to see a picture so I can make a comparison with what I presently have (1 7/8 Hooker Competition).

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

None in the car, but here are a few.

I did find one picture of the right collector.

On my Hookers the left collector is the problem child, hangs real low. From this last picture you can see the left and right are about the same height.

I know some people here have had some problems with TTI's fitting a RB motor. I had none installing them on the 68 383 Charger. Only problem was installing the mini starter and it was not the headers fault. Seems on the mini we used you need to remove the starter stud first. Stud was to long to get the nut on, it hit the starter casing.

Looks like there was plenty of room for the stock starter.

Plugs where pretty easy to get as well, they are 906's.

Thank you.  This helps, but I still have questions.  What I am really trying to figure out (and I hoped the pictures would save asking for measurements to be taken) is what the difference is in position of the  TTI collectors (height to the floor pan and width between them).  I also get the sense that the TTI collectors are angled inward, which makes the exhaust conform more easily to the undercarriage of the car.  Is this the case with the 1 7/8? There is a cross brace under the car that has indentations on either side of the transmission that I assume is to tuck the exhaust up a little higher if it runs closer to the middle.

No Pics but i can tell you from experience TTI headers fit very well. They hug the block tighter than Hooker/Headman and the collectors are angled to the factory cutouts in the crossmember. With other brands you need to fab up an S-Pipe to attach to the collector but with the TTI's the collector is aimed straight at the factory location so your extension pipe has no wierd bends.  :2thumbs:

I also like the fact that they make a dedicated low deck 383/400 header so the ground clearance is as good as it gets....nice and tight to the floorpans. Most BB Chrysler headers are universal fit so with the lowdeck the collector ends up being closer to the ground and the fit is sloppy.

TTI is worth every penny, inmho   :yesnod:

Thanks.  This is what I suspected, but it is nice to have it confirmed.
