Thank you Bud.

We did adopt the American Eskimo named Sparkie. He is a senior dog, but he is great!

Far as working on Miss Lumpy, well lets say this is the first real winter I have seen in the 25 years I have lived here! We have has snow cover on the ground going on two weeks. Unheard in this area, norm is 2 to 5 days.

Far as the hand, still stiff and some what swollen.

Here is Sparkie!

Sparkie is adorable!  Hopefully your hand keeps getting more loose and the swelling goes down.

:2thumbs:I admire that you adopted a senior dog.  That you know you will go through the grief of loss in a few years again speaks for your caring for these creatures.

And thinking about this I wonder how many old animals are put down just because of age/adoptability.

WS, that is one of the reasons I wanted to go see Sparkie! My wife at first did not want a older dog because we would have to go through the grief again sooner. As soon as my wife meet him, she got over it, it was love at first bark!  We really lucked out, he is such a loving dog. We have his vet bill after the rescue saved him, it was $2008.00.  :-\ He had to have 14 teeth pulled and still has a ear infection. We had our vet check him out this last Friday, other than his ears he is in good shape! :coolgleamA: I call Sparkie, Sparkie the Rocket Dog! Besides being fast, he is my first male dog.

If any of you like to lean more about American Eskimos or like to help the American Eskimos rescues here is a link.

Look at donation, there is a site where you can sign up and if you use that retailer they will make a donation bases on a percent of what you spend. Lowe's comes to mind, and what car guy does not love Lowe's!

While Irish Wolfhounds hearts are like Hemi's, American Eskimos hearts are like 340's! We all know how much fun a 340 can be is a small body!  :2thumbs:

Hopefully the weather will break soon and I can get working on Miss Lumpy again! As soon as I do, Sparkie will be my copilot like Muff, my first American Eskimo. Tiff, my second Eskimo got car sick so she only rode in the wife's car!

Did we ever get the new tank in the RR?  No pressure, just wandering :popcrn:

Not just yet, between Ken's hand surgery and the weather, the stars haven't aligned yet.  Don't worry, it will get done, even if I have to take a 4-6 hour roadtrip to help make it happen!

Gas tank is still in the garage. Main thing I need to do is get her running again!  :brickwall:

I have the new condenser installed and still will not fire? I was running out of daylight so I did not get to trouble shot the problem.

Tuesdays high will be around 50 so I hope to get some time to work on her again. That mainly depends on the wife and the honey do list.  :shruggy: We have been down to one car for about a 2 weeks now. First mine started making a bad creaking sound from the front end. Turned out it just need Zerk fittings installed and lubed.

Then while I was driving Sues car to work, the oil light came on! Checked the oil, it was half a quart low? Got a friend to come pick me, I restarted the her car, light was off for 400 feet, then back on. Was able to get the car home by turn it off and coasting then restarting and coasting again. Turned out to be a bad sending unit, but it is still sitting at Bob's.

With all the snow, guess Sue would have not drove anyway.  :shruggy:

OK Ken it's 72 deg. here, so what is going on with Miss Lumpy? Have not heard in a while what you are doing to get her running. Tell us about the trains, the latest on BOA and the house and most important, Miss Lumpy. Hope all is well. And how is your hand doing?

cudaken

Red Bee, yes it has been a while. Far as working on Miss Lumpy :shruggy: what can I say. It has either been the weather, hand or the honey do list.  :eek2: Plus there been Sparkie the Rocket Dog!  :D He had to go to the Vet sort of often, he has had a on going ear infection that was there before we got him. The American Eskimo Rescue had been paying for the visits, but it still takes time!

One important differences between not working on her now, and the 8 years I just let her set?  :scratchchin: I think about working on her and driving her all the time now.

Far as Bank of Stupid? Same old shit, keep asking for the same paper work, over and over! At lease they have t deal with my Lawyer and have finally stopped calling me!  :icon_smile_big:Do I think I am going to get to keep the house? No, I don't think BoS will lower the payment amount I can afford. All I am hoping for is more time to save for when it is time to move.

On the trains, with my hand being all messed up, I could not warp anything. Plus I still enjoy running them.

Speaking of the hand. Here is what it looked like before the surgery.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/1-Sparkie001_zpsa4e77eb1.jpg.html]

That was as straight as I could make the little finger. No matter what I did to it, push, pull or press it, that was as straight as it got. Now, I could still cruel it into my palm so I could still grip with it.

Now after the surgery.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/1-Sparkietest001_zps6a1b81cf.jpg.html]

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/1-Sparkietest002_zpsfa3558d8.jpg.html]

Now if you think my hand looked bad now after a month and a half, you should have seen it 4 weeks ago!  :puke:

Little finger will still not go straight, but I can press it down and it will go to 170 degrees straight. But, the little finger joints and knuckles are still swollen. I can no longer cruel the little finger into my palm.

Surgeon says I need 2 months of Physical Therapy, but the VA will not pay for it out of house. They are taking there darn sweat time of having me set up for the therapy. I gave them the Dr order 3 weeks ago?  :brickwall: Might as well have the dam finger cut off!  :brickwall:

Heck, this Tuesday (Next Day Off) is going to be a waste!  :brickwall: Have to go to the VA Hospital to have my hand evaluated for physical therapy. Next I go to the hand surgeon so he can look at the hand and ask me why I have not started the physical therapy all ready? Got to love VA medical care!

OK, back to Miss Lumpy!  :D

Thinking about calling Bob (My daily driver mechanic) and having him pick up Miss Lumpy and installing the gas tank. With me working weekends and no help to speak of (Allen just had his gallbladder removed.) might be the only way. If I do have Bob do the work, I all so want him to install the new fuel line.

Sending unit you folks bought was 5/16ths right? I went to Rock Auto and did not see a listing for fuel lines of any kind under fuel?  :scratchchin: Then I tried Summit, while they had 5/16th fuel line, only thing they had was stainless steel for $85.00. I rather use Summit if I can find just steel lines for around $55.00 or so. Like to pick up the Desk Top Dyno 5 they have for $49.99.  Yep day dreaming again about speed.  :D That way I can get free shipping.

I think a lot of us (me especially) would jump right in and help but it all comes down to location, location, location!

Main thing I need help on is finding the fuel line. Does Rock Auto have it and I just looked under the wrong listing? I was looking under fuel?

I know there are many here that would help it they could! But with my odd work it hard for the few local friends to come by.

Ken, I don't believe Rock Auto has it. I searched several places and couldn't find fuel lines for your car. I did find them at Inline Tube...part# Prf6801 for $65...that's the only ones I could find. Didn't think they would be hard to find, but I guess they are. Maybe someone else can find them somewhere else. Good luck in your search. Also Good Luck with the hand, sure hope it starts to get better soon and the VA gets their act together. Tell VA that Miss Lumpy needs your attention and you need your hand to give her some Massaging.

Bud, you must have missed the part that I know Summit has them, I think $85.00. I was hoping for a lower prices but I may have to spend the extra. If I had to bet, I thinking the fuel line will be if far wost shape than the gas tank.

I am off Friday, hope to get her running again.
