Sound like I have bad weather coming, figures!  :brickwall: If it is not raining and the wind is not to bad I may still try to get the condenser installed. Boy I would love to hear her run again!

I was going to work on Miss Lumpy today, but I could not find her?

Weather here sucks. I normally like snow and don't mind driving in it!  :drive: In fact I usually enjoy it! Not today! Work was cancelled, but I have to drive to St Charles Monday, so I decided to get some gas to weight down the Town Car. Lots of snow drifts. Getting out of the driveway was a little ruff, getting back in the driveway?  :brickwall: Got sideways in the drive / yard and all most went in the drainage ditch.

Luckily I had some sand, threw some in front and rear of the tires and was able to get the car straight. I don't think I screwed up the yard, guess I will find out when this snow melts.

Did get some train packing done. I am on box 3 now and getting close to getting all the rolling stock packed.

All so watched a lot of Road Kill today. I do enjoy David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan even when they are installing a LS 7 in the Crusher Camaro.

The weather in IL has been absolutely wonderful!  ::)

However, Roadkill is a great way to spend a blustery day, gotta love them!

I am not going to work Monday, there is a 4 foot drift behind my driver. Not counting what the snow plow just stacked up.

I see more Road Kill coming Monday.

Time for a big bowl of Chile.

               Ken, frozen again.

Allen, as far as I know, yes. I am off Thursday and Friday. Hope, I can work on her Thursday. Need a Smiley Faces with fingers crossed.

I go in for hand surgery on the 22nd of this month. I will be off work for a week to 3 weeks. Have no idea what shape my hand will be in afterwards. :shruggy:

I have not had any really good news for sometime now. Main thing I am dreading right now is losing Shaddy, the Irish Wolfhound. Her heart is failing, her Vet told Sue and I last week she may have a few days, or a few weeks but that is it. Right now she is not in any pain, but does have some discomfort at times. Does not bark when I come home and does not run like she normally did when I came in.

She is still loves to eat and as long as she enjoys that and can get around I am going to keep her with us. She has had a long life for a Irish Wolfhound, she will be 11 years old in Feb. Avg life of a Wolfhound is 7 to 8 years. We will miss her. :'(

We have the other reason for everything being cancelled, extreme heat going into our fifth day to day of in your way of reading the scale 115 to 118 , so summer finally hit down under in a big way

TruckDriver

Sorry about your dog Ken, I recently lost 2 cat's (brothers) last summer due to heart failure. I know your pain  :pity:

Truck Driver, thanks for the kind words about Shaddy. She is still with us and still loves to eat!

Good new from the VA Hospital! :2thumbs: My foot ulcer is officially healed! I still need to watch it and stay off my feet as much as I can so it does not Split Open (Hate the way they said Spit) but there is no more hole!  :coolgleamA:

Allen and Jim, while I have no idea what the weather will be like or what shape my hand will be in I am off the weekend of 25 and 26 of this month. I have Surgery on my hand on the 22nd and will be off work for at lease a week.

Today for being January, it was not bad outside 50 degrees in fact. To bad I had to work. With all the football games today it was slow, so I went home early at 3:00 PM.  ;)

Got home, grabbed the tools and head out to Miss Lumpy.  :icon_smile_big: Took me about 30 minutes to get the wrong condenser out and the correct one in. Resat the point gap again, button down the cap, primed the carb and let her rip! :D

:shruggy: Nothing, cranked over but would not hit or backfire?  :brickwall: I swear it was easier to start her after sitting for 8 years than to get her going again.  :scratchchin:

By this time I was losing daylight and had a headache as well so I brought the tools back inside.

I know I am moving way slower than you folks would like. But, I have not lost interest and slowly keep plugging away.

Shaddy, the Irish Wolfhound is still with us. She has slowed down a lot, well except for eating. Still seems to be in no pain. Sue and I just want to make her last days with us as enjoyable as we can.

Off to reread how to test a coil!

Ken,

Some of us have more time than others.  The fact that you keep plugging away at it says a lot!  Most people would have just thrown in the hat long ago (don't even think about it!) and put a for sale sign on it.  (again, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!)   :RantExplode:  You will get this going again with the help of your friends close by your home and your friends on here!  Stay the course my friend, Miss Lumpy will live once again!

cudaken,  I really admire your resolve in getting Miss Lumpy going again!  It is a great looking Roadrunner and you will surely be successful getting her "growling" again! Better weather and better times are ahead!

Regarding Shaddy,  it is always so hard to see this happen  to a loving and trusted pet!  They have become honored members of the family and losing them is, surely, like losing a member OF the family.  If it was me, I would have a very hard time taking Shaddy to the vet to cross that "Rainbow Bridge". Here's hoping Shaddy has a painless and easy "crossing" .  When that time comes, it will not be easy on anyone in your family and you are in my prayers.
