Stuart, bring a trailer and $9,000.00 and I will kiss her good buy!  :scratchchin:

Are they really worth that much now? I still have the original block, crank, rods and pistons. Data plate, the services card with my Dad's name on it. (looks like a Credit Card) Owners manual, original key (broke in half) and the ring that came with the keys that has the code for the key lock stamped in it.

Last night I was leaning toward selling her to the other Al. I was really worried about having the money to do the car.

What a Differences one day can make! Today I was told I am getting a $189.00 a week raises. :scratchchin: While I still won't be making poop, but that will help.  :2thumbs:

By the way Stuart, you bring $10,000 I throw in a $3500 Snap On Box!

See you all later.

Let's keep that fire going.  Marshmallows anyone?

Hi Cuda Ken, trains are fun but once you get that first tank of gas through the old car then you will remember why you had so much fun in it years ago. I reckon the guy was seeing how far you'd bend to drop the price, keep at man, its a cool car and been a big part of your life for years  :2thumbs:

Well I am off today and have not touched the Road Runner. Reason besides being worn out from work, old and lazy? It storming outside.  :brickwall:

Still thinking about selling her, lot of reasons I have not posted about.

Right now I guess the main thing is I don't know if I am going to keep my house I have lived in for 22 years! Bank Of America got my VA loan about say 6 years ago. I am suck at a 7% interest rate and they will not modified the loan. (there is more to the story but this is the short version) I was able to raise $20,000.00 to get caught up and my reward was the house payment went from $800.00 a month to $1,000.00 a month. Plus they would not modified the loan because it was current?  :brickwall: (seems the VA will pay them to modified a loan if it is behind)

So I guess one of the things that will determination what I do is up to BoS (Bank Of Stupid) Why fix her up again, to let her sit outside some more?

Plus, I would like to get a bike again, have not ridden for 10 years now.

I hate banks for this reason.  :flame: :flame: :flame: :brickwall: :RantExplode: Have you tried a different bank?

I'm fighting with "Bank of Stoopid" as well right now. Trying to get modification due to disability...trying to get through to a live person is a joke...

Bet if I miss one payment, they would be calling me in no time

You are absolutely right. Miss a payment and make sure you have fresh batteries in your phones to collect CALLER ID numbers. That is about the only way to get a human being on the phone.

I know many whom have lost their homes due to job loss and some didn't owe that much on them, but were in need of major work and the banks won't give an inch.

I have a lady friend that owns her house free and clear but it needs a roof and she cannot afford to put one on... Worse yet, she is in an HOA and they are trying to make her put one on now or pay fines.. WTF!!  If she could afford to put the roof on she would. Adding FINES is only going to kill her earlier....

This country needs to get back to BUILDING IT'S OWN GOODS and putting people back to work.

And back to small local banks that tend to the local needs not rates and rules made by a statistical program.

...and, take care of our own first by not sending all that money overseas. We, the people here are #1, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

I wish my story of trouble with Bank Of Stupid was a simple as some of yours.  :brickwall:

Anyway, last night I went and sat in her while it was raining. (that helps keep the ember glowing) and yes the carpet is damp. I saw a thin dark spot (more damp) on the passenger floor and it looked like it was coming from behind the kick panel under in front of the door. Driver side carpet was still dry.

I all so bought one of the cooling towels that Lowe's has been advertising, but it started raining before I had a chances to use it.

Time to start getting ready for work.

Any banking troubles suck. It's not just BOA, but they seem to have the lions share of bad paper.

I would hate to see your baby be sold Cudaken. Over the last several years many of our members have had to bite that really shitty bullet and it is nothing but depressing. Some have said: At least we have something of value to sell, but most have lost their asses selling their dreams. We do what we have to do, but try like hell to keep your nearly life long pal.

I have a few cars that I would like to sell.

After advertising them for a long time...

I've learned something...

Everybody expects you to give these cars away.

Well...

Fuck ' em.

:fu: :fu: :fu:

I'll let them rot first.

:brickwall:  I'm with you-- sometimes I will raise my price in response to a low offer. The reaction is usually outrage. I tell them I am doing the same thing they are and when we are all done we will be right where we started :nana:

As far as the prices I was offered, I was fine with it. Truth be told, a few months ago I would have let her go for $2,000.00.

After the first offer and the sleepless nights that followed the fire was re-lit. So when the second guy came over and threw down the $5,000.00 I was not fazed.

Other thing I have going for me, is I have a fair nested egg now. So if I had to move I have the funds to do it with. Last year when I only had a $1000.00 in savings, I would have sold it for $2K.

If BoS where to finally tell me it is time to go, it would make it essayer to know what to do!

My real hope is I keep the house, wife leaves me (Just kidding :scratchchin:) tear down the layout, redo the Runner and rebuild the layout so I can get the Road Runner in and out of the garage! I had been working on a plan for this of and on and it can be done!  :coolgleamA: But why bother till I know where I am going to be living!  :brickwall:

I am going to give one more try to opening the trunk before I break in. I bought some Liquid Wrench with the red spray tube. Going to see if that will do it!

See you all later, Ken

how about one of those layouts that lift to the ceiling when not in use, then lower it to run the trains. :2thumbs:

That will not work with the over head garage door, layout is Big, plus I want bigger!  :2thumbs:

Bench / Layout is 174 sq foot with 400 feet of track and the double main lines are 90 feet long. I have planed on tearing it all down now that I know more about how to build a proper layout, to be honest most of it is pretty crappy! But again BoS has kept me from doing anything to it!

By the way, all the foam that laying on the layout are lift off tunnels, I was adding a siding when the picture was taken. I have to lift all the rear hills to open the garage door.
