Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Thanks for the welcome back folks.

Far as the biggest news, I have pretty much gave up the Cam 2.  :'( Well I still have one now and then but not 8 to 12 cans a night 7 days a week. Biggest reason I just can not afford it, it amazed me when I checked my spending record (I keep a detail spread sheet on what I spend) for this year on Cam 2 and Cigarettes. Cutting back on Cam 2 was easy, smoking on the other hand has been hard. I was smoking around 2.25 packs a day, that is about 16 packs a week. I am down to around 9 packs and hope to stop soon!

What got me back into the Road Runner you ask? Well, it is because of my wife, and not in a good way.  :icon_smile_angry: We lost are Wolfhound right after I had my hand surgery and Sue was lost with out her. So I went to the American Eskimo rescue and we got Sparkie. He is a older dog but a real sweet guy.

My wife won't let him lose in the backyard and she walks him in the front. One of a neighbors has a boxer that he lets run lose and my wife is deathly afraid of it. She asked Tony the owner to keep his dog on a leash but Tony would not.

She told me she was going to call animal control but I told her not to! I pointed out that the back yard was badly over grow-en, in ground pool is a swamp and the Road Runner was sitting outside with no plates. So what does she do?  :RantExplode: She called animal control!  :brickwall: Guess who stopped by, the Zoning Inspector.

Luckily he is a nice guy and his all so a diabetic and understands I can only be on my feet 3 hours a day. So he is giving me sometime to get the Pool Closed, over growth cut down (been working on it most of the summer anyway) but the Road Runner needs to be drive able and plated by Nov 18th. I am making headway on the over growth but it is just to much to be done with winter coming soon.

So the current plan is to get her to Allen's Mopad, get the tank in her. I all so need a to find a 14"tire tire (left front sidewall blew out) so she can be moved and get the right front brake caliper unlocked so she will roll with out busting a gut. Next will be to find out what part on the ignition was keeping her from starting.

Whole bright side to this? Wife cannot say a Dam Thing about the money this time!  :D She started it!

Latter, Ken
I am back

Listen Ken, let me give you some help in quitting smoking....  http://www.web-profile.com.ua/wp-content/uploads/allen-carrs-easy-way-to-stop-smoking.pdf

If you really want to quit, this WILL work, trust me! My wife both quit cold turkey using only this and are coming up on three years now, I smoked for 30 damn years and she 20+. At 20 bucks a day we are saving more than 7,000 a year!
Get on it!

well last night I found a 14" tire to mount on Ken's rim,  Moved the dart under the 70 Challenger.  As soon as ken takes his rim off the RR I will get the tire mounted and get it rolling.

Afternoon folks.

I am sure some of you thought I had gave up again, nope. Just been busy trying to get the backyard cleaned up.

HAND M I got a copy of the book from my library, have not read it yet. I am all most done with the book I am reading now.

Bruce It was great talking with you! Far as the adapter for the 440 Electronic Disturber Mancini did not have one listed that I found.

One of the things that was holding me up was the fact my left front tire side wall blew out. Boy it is hard to find a 14" tire anymore. I run 245 60 14 on the front and 265 60 15 on the rear. That is why Allen posted he found a tire.

Hum, I opened the trunk today for the first time in a year and a half and guess what I found? Allen and I both forgot I had a Road Wheel from my 69 Charger sitting in the trunk!  :shruggy: Fun part it was Allen laying on his back trying to get the trunk open from the inside and the tire was in the way!

Got the old Cragar S/S wheel off with no problem, thought for sure it was going to be a fight. Aired up the 215 60 14 tire on the 69 Road Wheel and it is installed and holding air.  :2thumbs: Well so far.   :D

Next step will be to try to free up the right front caliper freed up. Talked with Bruce about it and it went right over my head!  :shruggy: Never worked on disc brakes, drum yes.  :hah: Been told it is way simpler but until you do it, well it is Greek to you.

At this point it looks like the moving date is Nov 15.

Later, Ken  Thursday I Cam 2 day!  ;)

I am back
