Fantastic, just finished reading the whole thing, great. Hops your wife is better, glad you got a better job & getting your foot taken care of. Sounds really good for sitting so long, an inspiration to us all. Congrats on a successful rebirth of a classic. :2thumbs:.

She sounds strong and ready to go out and kick some ass.  :yesnod:   Thanks for posting the videos.

 Hey Folks!

Boy I am still stoked!  :2thumbs:

I have been replaying the videos over and over and over listening to Miss Lumpy   Man, I let her sit way to long. I had forgotten how much I like the sound of a V 8 with a cam in it!  :shruggy:

Does Miss Lumpy sound like I remember? :scratchchin: No, she not as Lumpy as I remember! But she has not been set up yet to drive. Sunday or Monday I hope to hook up the throttle, kick down linkage and return spring. Next adjust the idle, float level and air fuel mixture.

Then, it is time to see if she will move! Not a lot, maybe a foot to get her a little straighter in the driveway.

Next, get the 8 year old gas out of the gas tank, hum I think I have a idea. :scratchchin: Hook the fuel pump up to the gas tank, run the pressure line to a 5 gallon gas can and gravity feed the 750 Holley. I will install a inline glass gas filter to the line that goes to the gas can to see how much crap is in the line and gas tank. If not that bad, hook up the gas tank and get some fresh gas! Then around the block we go!  :2thumbs:

After that get her in the garage and do a Exorcism on the Electrical Demons. Then on to the fun stuff, Body Work!  :coolgleamA: I love bodywork!  :coolgleamA:

By the way, I would like thank all that have posted on this thread! You folks have helped give me the encouragement I needed to get off my fat ass! Special thanks to Allen (41 Husk) and Jim! I am looking forward to getting to know Jim better! He has a lift in his garage!  :smilielol:

good to hear yer excited.....hope the rest of the car goes this easy.

I need to at least start the 3 cars here in the garage that have been put away since about a year ago....put some fresh gas in them and at least put a few miles on them before fall hits again. I just ain't been very motivated this year to do anything on the cars.

Dave, yes I do! While a running car that plants you back in the seat is great! But I dislike wrenching. Well adding the blower to the Charger was fun  :scratchchin:

Now taking a pile of rusted junk and making it pretty again!  :2thumbs:

When I got out of the army I was wondering what kind of school I was going to use my GI Bill for, Mechanical or Auto Body?  :scratchchin: I was changing out the 727 in a friends garage and found my self laying in 8 quarts of Dextron II. My mind was made up!  :smilielol: Try getting that crap out of your hair!  :brickwall:

On the other hand, I can blow dust out of my hair!  :coolgleamA:

Dave, where do you live? I really do enjoy bodywork and be happy to help!

I appreciate the offer, I really do... but like mentioned earlier I'm in north central Ohio. I can do some things but it would be fun to learn from someone that actually knows what they are doing.

Hair? what Hair Ken?
:popcrn:

I still have hair 451! Mainly in my ears now but it is still hair!

Jim, With you being a train person as well you know it will be hard for me to take down the layout. Till Miss Lumpy can move on her own, I am keeping the trains layout up. Now, when she can move which will be soon then I will take the layout apart. My plan is to take the part of the layout that goes across the garage door down and move stuff around. Then build a lift out section so I can get Miss Lumpy in and out of the garage!

Mauve66 Wait till I get her tuned!

Jim's post does bring up something I have been thinking about!  :scratchchin: When should I let this post die?  :shruggy: I have a long road to travel till I get her back on the road and looking good!

1 After she moves?

2 When I can drive her?

3 When the Electrical Demons are gone.

4 After the bodywork and paint is done?

While I know there is a bodywork section and kind of like to post it here. I am wanting to do something a long AMX story line about doing bodywork I did years ago. Here a link.

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,4803.0.html

For me, it is all the same story. I am just wondering what the folks here think that have been following my quest to rekindle the fire, The Mopar Fire! And Baby, The Beat Goes On  :2thumbs: Anyone one under 50 will have no idea what The Beat Goes On means!  :smilielol:

I see no sense in letting this thread die unless you just want to.  Stu keeps the same threads going about each of his project cars.  It does let others keep track of your progress from start to finish, instead of jumping from one thread to another.  As a newbie, I do find it a little disappointing to read up on someone's last project, and then have to find the other corresponding thread to find out what all was done. :Twocents:

It is your call though  :popcrn:

Nice one CudaKen and Husk  :2thumbs: Good effort and yeah, it does sound lumpy  :icon_smile_big:

Might as well keep the thread going with your bodywork , its been a good one so far
