Allen, I am off Friday, what time do you get out of school?

I have feeler gauge but know video camera.
:smilielol: So you know a video camera?  :smilielol: I catch my self doing the same thing.

I had some running to do, and then I had to cut the backyard. With me playing with Miss Lumpy, I think I let the back grass / weeds go for 2 months with out cutting it, what a mess!  :brickwall:

OK, I must be going blind! I starting to wonder how I find the Road Runner sometimes! Remember the missing Zinc addictive and feeler gauges? I found them today, still in there bag laying in plan view on the passenger side floor board!  :shruggy: What can I say but getting old sucks! By the way, I was not drinking Cam 2 when I was looking!  :eek2:

Think I will go lube the spark plugs and install the wires.

Wish you were at least one state closer, I'd come man the fire extinguisher, Or at least the camera.  :popcrn:

Where do you live? Might not be as far as you think! I live in Maryville IL 62062, think St Louis MO, I live 14 miles from it.

North Central Ohio. Probably 450 miles or so away.

Well I guess 450 miles is just a tad far.  :scratchchin:

Got the plug boots on the plugs, the spark plug lube made them go on pretty easy. All so made up a new coil wire.

Just went outside and stabbed the distributor index the way I want it.

Only thing left is to install the plugs wires, hook the power wire to the coil, distributor wire to the coil and move the fuel line!  :coolgleamA:

Well, time to get ready for work.  :-\ It is all so sad it has taken me from June 2nd to get this far!  :shruggy: But, I am still going at it.

Sounds good, but a tad far to have her towed.

Plan at this point is if Allen can come by after school Friday, see what catches fire, breaks or falls off the Road Runner! I am off Friday and have another skin graft but it is a late appointment, not till 2:30 PM. With luck I should be home around 5:00 PM.

Before I go in I hope too get the distributor wired and the remaining wires hooked up. May even give her a crank or 2 to see if I have spark.  :scratchchin:

Need to see if the wife can find the VHS Video Camera? :shruggy: What can I say, I am old  :smilielol: My older Digital Camera does take short videos but the quality sucks.

Just got done wiring the distributor cap, wired the coil and added the zinc. Turn on the ignition switch and nothing smoked!  :2thumbs: Check the trans fluid, still bright cherry red!  :coolgleamA:

For the heck of it I checked the oil level to see how over filled it was. Ah, what oil, nothing was showing on the dip stick? :shruggy: I swear I but in 5 quarts, I think!  :scratchchin: Guess the oil pan plug mess up is gong to haunt me till I get it to a friends shop and have it repaired the right way!

Just added a quart, and it just barely showed on the dip stick. Good think I happened to check it, or it would not have been pretty!  :eek2:

So off to buy some oil, do some running and when I get home start checking to see if I have power to the ignition. When Allen gets here, it will be show time I hope! :scratchchin:

Dam Allen, steal my thunder!

Well the Cat Is Out Of The Bag, Miss Lumpy Lives! :2thumbs:

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/FromTheBack_zps622306e0.mp4.html

There are electrical problems! :'(  I had check the power to the coil and there was none) Found my Fuse-able link was cooked and I was ready to settle back, lick my wounds and drink some cam 2.  :2thumbs:

Allen showed up a little late, say 5:40 or so. We talked about the problems I found. Then we decided what the Chevy, lets hot wire her!  :2thumbs: There was some problems when we tried that and I will give detail on later

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/MyThumb_zps99e065e2.mp4.html

We dumped some Cam 2 (well gas) down the carb, and I will be dammed, she hit just like that! But then she died.  :scratchchin: Seems she was not getting any gas out of the 2 gallon gas can we had sitting on the fender? Did this 3 to 5 times and same results.  :shruggy:

Asked Allen to sit the gas can on the ground (might be to high for the pump to suck the gas to the carb) and he did. Hit the remote starter, she roared to life, then I had gas on my face and she died?  :scratchchin:

We then spent about 15 minutes unwrapping the gas line from around the fan!

Fixed that, cranked her over again and we had a nasty sounding Big Block on our hands!  :2thumbs:

Guess what I am the most stunned about, I stabbed the distributor perfectly! No backfire, belching or slow cranking! When she had gas she hit! When I shot the timing I was at right around the 20 degrees before TDC like Ron said I should be! I just tighten down the bolt and left the timing where it was for now.

I am not out of the woods yet, electrical problems that I will need help to sort out. I all so need to replaces the Accelerator pump, it was dripping gas. But, she sound crisp when the seconders kicked in, and the car shuttered when shut off!  :2thumbs:

Mopar Fire is ablaze in Miss Lump, Allen and my self.

Cuda Ken, she lives again!
