Next upgrade will be the ignition system on my 74 charger.  trying to decide whether to go with the MSD box or the revnator.  the revnator guy claims up to 40 hp with just the swap plus out performs the MSD box.  however, it also requires a distributor without vacuum advance and a coil upgrade. not to mention, i believe it still requires the ballast resistor.  on the plus side, no modification to the harness.  MSD box has been around longer, but i hear mixed reviews.  Anyone have any experience with these two systems? thoughts?
MOPAR or no car

If you are not building a race car, i would reccomend an msd ready-to-run distributor or one of ron's firecore ready to run distributors.
Everything is built into the distributor, easy to hook up, adjustable rev limiter, simple advance adjustments, and no mess.

Firecore or MSD only ,
That's what I will buy next,  :2thumbs:

I hear alot of good about the Firecore products.
You can ask firefighter Ron about their products and I know he supports his brand in anyway he can.

MSD would be my 2nd choise

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

I've have both right now, with Firecore factory style distributers. Next time I will just go with the Firecore ready to run.
Nice and simple and still don't look that far from right in there.

I had the firecore ready to run and was awesome. However I fried it by leaving a plug wire off which shorted to ground and cooked the internal module. So I bought the firecore plug and play and MSD street fire box which worked out better because it has a rev limiter. I mounted my MSD behind the dash. If you decide on the the Rev-a-nator beware it is backordered till next year.
