Hemi block Questions/opinions

This has been sitting a long time and needs to be all it can be. A trusted engine builder I used for several hemis checked this out for the guy I got it from. He said it was used with wedge heads for a while after it had a window repaired. He thinks the weld repair is fine (well stress relieved ). The bolt holes for the wedge heads were filled. There are chamfers on the bores for valve clearance from the wedge heads. bores look good and it has been aligned honed for the crank. Also looks like a blank boss where the vin would go.
I'm ok with the weld repair but not sure what to think about the chamfers and deck repair. I would like to sell it but need to know how to value it.

:o  thats odd , a hemi block been altered to run wedge heads  , or at least on the street , wonder if its a grandnational  hemi  block  , they converted to run wedge heads in the early 70s  ,   looks like its had a big blow up too  , although dont  see  screw holes  in the block , for wire & straps to stop the freeze plugs blowing out   :scratchchin:

Any potential buyer would use the repairs to beat the price down but, in reality, the repairs don't really affect the usability.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thank you for that. It's what I wanted to hear.  I am still interested to know why one would go to the trouble to put wedge heads on that block. :scratchchin:
