I'm reasembling my thermoquad and am at the point where I need to install the new accelerator pump.  I found in some articles that the plunger has two springs yet mine only has one.  It's a mid 70's 6545S.  I think this is normal as I've found pictures online of tq's with only one spring as well.  Apparently some models have a second spring between plunger and the brass cap.  Should I add one??

The spring that goes under the plunger is wider on one end, does anyone know if the wide end goes towards the plunger or towards the carb body?

Thanks Bob!   :2thumbs:  I forgot about this one, you had posted it before and I saved a copy but didn't think to check it.  Found both my answers, only one spring, wide end towards the body.   :2thumbs:

Actually I updated it and put the pages in order (LOL!).  Download it now and take a look, it has a service reference now.

I started doing the adjustments and got stuck quite fast because I don't have the tool to adjust the air valve spring.  Are these still available?
