Hello, im thinking of making a grille from scratch as a temporary solution since im not rolling in cash, Im wondering if anyone could get the basic measurements and maybe some photos of the center section of the grille of their 68 or 69 (im not doing the headlight covers) , i dont have one to work with, so im asking if any of you guys have the time to share pictures and maybe share the dimensions and bracket locations. etc.  :shruggy: Thanks!

Baldwin, I may see what Carlisle has to offer this year. You might have to take three and make one, but ALOT cheaper than buying a complete grille.
Going from '68 to '69 is a PITA. Hood latch is different in both.

What sort of pics do you want? I can take whatever you need.

Ooooo i want to know how the grille frame is shaped, how it looks from the front, sides and back, and maybe some angles too, i want to see how deep the mesh is from the front and if it's tapered
etc. etc. Think of it as a super model, and you just want to take as many pics of her as possible  :coolgleamA:

I'd get a '68 Coronet grill and install it on some home made brackets.

They're cheap and '69 Charger 500's came with them. :Twocents:

Just ship it to the border and drive over and pick it up. Its pretty cheap to ship here and its for only an hour or so from where you are at.

Also may i ask about the hood latch/release, i was told 68 and 69 models have different versions because of the grille designs, so what about 500's?  :shruggy:

I put halo's in my 68 , gave it a glow behind the doors, had them hooked up to parkers, will see if I took any shots at dusk so you can see the effect

Are the late model bmw halo lights the correct size for a 68 Coronet grille? They'd make a statement
