Loaded up almost 4,500 lbs of sod on Monday.  The w200 took it pretty well.

Those old trucks like that are tough. 4500 is a drop in the bucket for what these trucks can stand.  Glad to see em still being used :2thumbs:

My old man had a pallet of shingles put in mine at Lowe's. They apparently didn't push it far enough over the axle and when he let the clutch out, it did its best impression of The Little Red Wagon. I guess it scared him pretty good. They came back out and used a 4x4 to push it slightly forward of the axle.
Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;  a sense of humor to console him for what he is.      Francis Bacon

WANT TO BUY:
Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.
Thank you,    Kenny

I did the same for our older daughter about a month ago. I think it's the first time in 8 years owning this truck that I put a real load in the back.. Oooo. I take that back. I once carried a load of drywall and plywood in this truck and I was really quite impressed!! I have no idea how much it all weighed, but the guy at Depot kept asking me, ARE YOU SURE???  I watched the truck settle down on the secondary leafs and we didn't go many boards after that, but the boys were wiped out before they we done unloading all of it..

I spotted the too, but my memory sucks and I know GM had a 3/4 van that was 5 lug so I didn't question it..    :shruggy:

Didn't the 4x4's keep the 5 lug while the 2 wheel stepped up to the 8 lug in the 3/4 tons?  :shruggy: :popcrn:

W200 with 5 lug wheels?

Todd

Yessir.  It's a w200 and has a dana 60 in back and 44 up front.  Not sure if any mods were ever done to the axles but everything seems legit.  It was an original 360 truck that now has a 400 in it.
