I want a new one! Source? Thanks! b5
Can't believe it my NAPA boys had one on the shelf! 5.66 with tax, Part # SL169SB. This one is adjustable unlike the old one that just snapped into the bracket.
After converting to manual brakes the peddle sat higher and the brake lights only came on by pressing fairly hard, this new part let me set them so they come on as soon as you put ANY movement on the peddle.  :2thumbs:
Memorial Day Mission accomplished!  Now for that new rear harness next!  :scratchchin:

when switching from power to manual brakes, or the other way, you usually have to move the switch bracket to the other mounting position. on mine, there are 2 bracket slots in brake pedal bracket.

Yes I had done that, this was was a 43 year old switch. NAPA's description didn't match what was in the car and that's why I started this topic. After doing cross references online I just ran over and bought it to try. It worked out better as this one is adjustable, more brake changes are ahead.  :2thumbs:
