For those who have not seen it before.

I wonder if they really did it or was it camera magic.

Computer graphics. You can see the "photoshopped" out a section of tunnel lights but can clearly see that they are still casting light and shadows on the tunnel wall.

And as for the firemen, would you want to stand in the path of maybe a falling/flying car?  :slap:

Fake for sure. I rolled a truck once. At least  6-7 times down a 100 foot ravine in a blizzard in the middle of the night while towing another car. I blew threw a snow bank and did almost a full barrel roll before I hit the side of the mountain and then starting flipping like a sprint car.   I thought my life was over for sure. Landed on my wheels and ended up driving back to portland from Spokane after going to the junkyard and cutting a windshield out of a ranger and ratchet strapping it to my Toyota.  That truck had an internal cage and 4pt harnesses so it felt like the wildest roller coaster I've ever been on. Can't tell you how tight I was holding on the steering wheel because I didn't want to loose one of my arms. My friend got a bunch of knots on his head from having his 4 points too loose. Definitely something I never want to do again.

I know that if I am going to roll a car in a tunnel, the first thing I would do is stage my fire crew not only inside the tunnel, but for sure in the direct path of the speeding car as it makes it's entry into the roll, haha
JUNKTRAVELER: all I've seen in this thread is a bunch of bullies and 3 guys that actually give a crap.

Down force plays a huge roll in auto racing. But that is on race cars, not heavy street cars. I cant believe that Mercedes could generate enough down force to hold it to the pavement, upside down.

Production cars weigh 2 tons + downforce compromises gas mileage = no way.

A formula 1 car would have the best bet for performing this stunt.  Production car, no way.

Physics says no.    In fact, this would only be possible if the tunnel were straight or S-shaped, in fact the curve makes it LESS possible on the bottom half of the arc, not more.

Makes for a good commercial. He should climb out of the car ripping the ring top off a Budweiser or something and slamming it down.   :yesnod:

But, before that Budweiser, saying something like "Hey y'all, watch this!".
