Saw it last night. Some of the stunts were more "out there" than usual, but still an entertaining movie. :2thumbs:

Saw it Fri night, was good.Won't say much, don't want to send out any spoilers. But yes, long runway huh ????

Mike DC

Yeah, that runway was pretty far off the credibility scale.

Apparently the picture car coordinator was trying to sell the studio on a Daytona during the last movie.  But the studio people felt it looked too goofy, like a kid's toy.  The shortened nose & wing brought the car into enough proportion to get it approved.

b5blue

Yea the runway thing.....Hard to show all the action inside and out at the same time, I think that's what was meant, the action overlaps each other.

Last one I saw in the theater was Star Trek - 4.

I don't go to the movie theater, to expensive! It seems as the movies are on Redbox just a couple months after for a $1.00 so im good.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Kiss $25 good bye if you go to my movie theater.  I'd rather go to the local dirt track and go pit side for the same amount, and get a much better show.  :popcrn:

I'll wait for the book to come out....oh, wait....I'm half blind and can't read very well....

It was 7.50 and I seem to be the only human on the planet who can go without soda, popcorn, candy and a 3/4G device not just for hours but days!
I enjoy the big screen WOW effect of epic adventures by sitting in the front section. Pacific Rim is going to be fun.

Just saw it last night at one of AMC's Dine-In theaters...Couple of cold Sam Adam's on tap & a burger made it better LOL

Actually was a pretty good flick with lots of action

And you don't?

Ok I love that they mentioned THE car by name:

"His first car better be a Charger!"

"I think you mean a Skyline!"

"He's a Torreto...."

"Don't confuse the poor kid!"

I like it when they call it a Charger. Then it's not just another "random cool looking old car". It's important enough to call by NAME!  :2thumbs:

We can probably thank Mopar's recent involvement in the franchise for that line.

Even if they never specifically requested the line, all those newer Chargers in the movie probably put the model name closer to the front of everyone's mind.

JB400

Maybe, more people will realize that Chargers used to have just 2 doors.

Drive-ins here a practically a thing of the past. A real shame. It'll have to come out on bluray before I'll get to see it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

that was prettty funny even funnier when he handed his kid the skyline die cast then DOM rolls up and what does he have in his hand hiding behind his back viola...a 2nd gen charger and hands it to the kid  :icon_smile_big:

I took the kids to the morning matinee to see Epic. $6.50, free popcorn & soda refills.  :yesnod:

I'll wait 'til FF6 comes on out blu-ray.

Damn-Now that's a place to see a movie... I would even enjoy that... I haven't been to a theater in years now... usually just wait for HBO or something so I don't have to put up with all the dweebs & there damn cell phones, people talking thru out the movie & kids screaming  :brickwall: , or the $10 popcorn & $5 Cokes....

It is very cool.  You buy your tix in advance (usually sell out) & you pick your seat.  They are large Pleather theater seats...4 across in the middle of the theater & 2 across on each of the sides.

Push a button on your seat for service....food isnt too bad & the beer is cold

Good movie , would have rather see the Black 70 return other than the daytona .

SRT-440

I saw it last night..it's good. Kinda wished it was more about the racing still instead of the crime fighting. The first one was cheesy and had a lame plot but I loved it and it still holds the #1 spot for me.
I agree...would have loved to see the 70 back..atleast maybe at the very end in the garage or something.
It's been confirmed that they WILL be making a part 7...but it's going to have a new director..Vin is already signed on. It might be interesting.

The '70 Charger was fully destroyed in the plot line when it crashed and exploded in the tunnel though after capturing Braga.

Then it shows back up in Brazil to get wrecked by the Rock - just sitting still.  :brickwall:

Mike DC

Yeah, that car can heal itself almost as well as the General Lee.

What's frustrating is that most of the destructions weren't really necessary.  The first one was a major plot point but most of the others would not really have been missed, dramatically speaking.

Oh, well.  Whatever.

The truth is destroying the car onscreen may only slightly change the number of Chargers the production wrecks.  They might wreck 5 in a movie where the Charger gets killed onscreen, but they might still have wrecked 4 even if it had survived to the end credits.  And these days even Hollywood tries not to wreck decent low-rust cars.

I am to old.
When I read in the headliner of the thread "FF6" I just thought there was only FF4 new in 1970 and F6 was a 1969 colour.
