Some Americans like to think that everything American is superior (no wonder we're so hated) but the reality is we've been trumped in the weapons department many times over.

Classic case is the FN49 I posted above; because of the time frame it never had to compete with the much-touted M1 Garand (I have two of those) but many experts in their field acknowledge that it is better than the Garand in many ways. The FAL (Belgian) was almost chosen as the U.S. standard battle rifle (politics intervened there) and the current U.S. standard sidearm is the (Italian) Beretta.

I relish the fact that my taste (pun intended )  in weapons differs from the mainstream and patriotism be damned.

Have they started making people register military weapons in Calif. yet?  Do you reload for your weapons, if not, is ammo readily available? I didn't see what caliber your rifles were.thanks. I have an old GM inland M1 carbine that I didn't have to register.

With a few exceptions, long guns owned before 1-1-2014 don't have to be registered in the PRK...new acquisitions do. I, too, have an Inland M1 carbine (see below)

Both my FN49 and Hakim are 7.92 X 57 caliber (8MM), the FAL and PTR91 are .308 and the SVT40 is 7.62 X 54R. I don't reload but ammo is readily available for all.

One of the current-production rifles in my collection that I think is kinda unique is the Rossi Circuit Judge, it's a rifle with a revolving chamber that shoots .45 Long Colt or .410 shotgun shells.

Sadly in Canada those are restricted like any other handgun. So thus can only be shot while at a shooting range.

I'm curious about the first pic.
For some reason I'm not exactly picking up on what I'm looking at. 

Very curious though. I would like to know more about it.
