crazy thing happened wednesday night i went to bed and when i woke up i see a big white circle in the center of my vision when i blink. i also cant focus on things real well at all.  i found out i cant drive at night really either cuse when i blink it like im in the dark and theres a flashlight in my face.     even now i can hardly see the keyboard on the laptop. with the white screen and black keys  the keys just get bleached out with my eyes like this. its pretty maddening really.

i went to the eye doc that same morning and he said he saw a little fluid in the eye which is most likely causing it. he has me seeing a retina specialist just to rule something out  in two weeks. i may see if i can get in earlier cuse this is pretty crappy to deal with.  there has been no improvement at all as of yet.

i asked how the fluid gets there he said its something that can happen to men and its caused by stress. everythings as crappy as it ever is overhere lol so i dunno whats going on i dont really let stuff get to me. stressing out over things dosent help anything.

i had a retina injury when i was a kid which perminantly screwed up my left eye but my other eye has always been perfect. you really take vision for granted till both your eyes crap out on you. im just really hoping this clears up and gets better sooner than later

any of you guys had anything like this happen before?

My son's buddy had a partially detached retina, he got hit hard playing football and when he got up could only see a partial image out of his rt. eye.  They wound up doing laser surgery on it and he wore a patch for about 6-8 weeks, but it's all good now.  The doc treating him told him that compared to even 25 years ago they can do a lot more to save sight, back then it would have been probably 6 months with an eyepatch and even then no guarantee that it would have helped!

I have been having trouble driving at night for the last few years. All the lights look like stars exploding with rays coming out of them. Sometimes my left eye is blurry at times...I do need to see an eye doc..but I got enough health issues at this time

Not so long ago, the Mrs. was watching some TV when she was suddenly overcome with nausea. She shut her eyes tight for a minute then when she opened them her vision was really weird. The pic on TV was normal on the left side of the screen but completely blurred on the right. She closed her right eye and looked only with her left, same thing. She closed her left eye, looked with the right, same thing. She went and had a lay down and after a few hours she felt ok again and her vision was back to normal but it was a scary moment for her.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

sounds like a "partial seizure"

don't ask how I know

Well we're just grateful she's back to normal (and I use the term loosely  :icon_smile_big:) with no ill effects.

Haven't had a similar thing happen, but I would consider seeing another eye doctor sooner if you have any lingering concerns that it is something else.  My guess is it will likely cost, but the way I see it, knowing is better and the cost is not different from the cost of fixing something on the car or home.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

About 3 months ago I woke up with a large spot in the vision of my right eye. After 3 eye doc visits they shot dye in my blood and took time lapsed pictures of it leaking fluid in the back of my eye. Mine is a blood vessel making a bubble between the macula and some other part of the eye. it gradually faded to my eye being cloudy and now 3 months later it's almost gone. They told me a long name for it and that it only happens to men. It is stress related and is prone to happen again & they said 90% of the time it heals itself. Some times they may have to use laser surgery. If I looked at a dot in the center of a graph of lines the lines would curve and look wavey. Some times just looking at an object on the wall the trim below it would curve. I am using eye drops called brinzolamide ophthalmic suspension in my eye.  Good Luck. keep us informed

thanks guys  :2thumbs:

one thing i noticed today was if i shine a light on most things it improved my vision a lot. i dont mean just in the dark i was a t work and its pretty damn bright there and with a flashlight i could see wuite a bit better. it really lets me see the fine deatail of things alot better.  but still no improvement as of yet.
