how many other cars you looking at are this good , jealous that you will get enjoy this car in short amount of time

I've looked at four cars in person so far, and this one is by far the best.

You're right, it would have cost me much more to restore one.
Despite the fact that there will be a sort of instant satisfaction if/when I just drive it home, I can tell you now it's been a long wait for me to be in this position.
Over ten years ago I decided that it would be best for me to wait and save rather than buy straight away and restore.
At least you guys will have that sense of pride that you had a hand in bringing your car back to life.

So you didn't get this one still for sale.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/68-DODGE-CHARGER-R-T-/261220759528?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D7930298696643372076%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D261220759528%26

Hi Stephen, that's the one I'm trying to get.
I was a bit surprised when I saw it had popped up again on ebay last Saturday night as I have been working with the owner to try to organise an inspection by a Mopar mechanic.
I guess though, until I put down a deposit, he can do whatever he wants. I just hope no one uses that Buy It Now option between now and the end of the week.
It has been difficult to arrange a time when all parties can meet as we are all working long hours and the shop is closed Saturdays.
As soon as I get the nod that nothing is in need of major repair, I'll be pulling the trigger.
Until then, I'd rather lose it than make a big mistake.

Been there, done that.  Its frustrating but keep the faith. :2thumbs:
Look at it this way, if in the next week he doesn't get any action at his current price then you have some room to negotiate.

Deposit put down today.
The car has issues, [of course] but nothing dire. Not the best resto ever done, but can be improved upon over time.
Power windows will be looked at as they currently don't go down and Magnum 500's put back on before I pick it up.
Watch this space.

Excellent.
Take some time to enjoy the feeling of owning a charger before you start sorting things out as the frustration (sorry to spoil it for you already lol) of finding faults will overcome you soon enough. :icon_smile_big:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

congrats, enjoy the car, all issues can be sorted, just don't try and do them all at once, do the safe items first, things like the electric motors can be rebuilt or replaced , saw them some where,
More photo's please

Thanks for your advice Fred. It's been a stressful couple of weeks and I am trying to make sure that my excitement overrides my anxiety.
When it's in my garage, I'll be able to relax a bit and it will sink in that a 30 year dream has come true.
Cheers everyone else and OK, here are more pics:
