Value of used parts / components

I obtained a complete engine (build date 1-26-1977) that I am using to extract the block and some miscellaneous parts.  Is there any value for most of the other parts to help recover some of the cost of the engine?

Depends on the engine and how much you paid. Say it's a 440, then the block is bout the only thing worht any real money, as everything else people will want you to give it away. So, in a word, ....no.

That is what I expected.  I bought it for the block and little things like brackets, timing cover, clamp for distributor, etc.  It was a cast crank engine with 76000 miles.  Everything looks very good.
