73 Charger 440

Stupid question guys and I've tried searching...

I've been out of Mopars for too long and picked up a '70 RT recently. I want to do a front disc brake conversion (as close to factory as possible) but would like to keep the 14" Standard stamped wheels on it...

Did any of the 2nd gens with disc brakes come with 14" steel wheels? Are there any "complete" kits from suppliers that would keep a factory look and clear a 14" steel wheel?

Thanks!

There are number of threads on the topic that will give you pretty good education.

Mp brakes has standard kit, which is pretty much the dart set-up.  It has wheel fitment disclaimer on it.
So I called and asked them directly.  My memory is a little fuzzy but I seem to remember something like the rotor may need to be machined.  I posted it in another brake thread or you can just call them.

Hard Charger

my kit from MBM just touch the factory steelies but i run 15" cragars anyway.

can't believe the driving differance with the 14" factory sized wheels. feels like a new car.

Charger RT

I put stock 71 charger disc brakes on my 68. I have 14 inch magnum 500's on the car. I believe E body discs are the same. Also 70 B body too. I had to swap in a 70 K frame and the lower arms for the newer sway bar to fit my 68. 68-69 sway bars would hit the front mounted calipers. If yours is a 70 and have a sway bar none of that needs changed just swap in the spindles
