What's the length of the breather hose supposed to be?

I don't know the length but that does look to be a little on the long side.

Well, Frank doesn't know. I'll have to guesstimate by looking at some pics.

If you don't mind waiting a bit, I can check a 68 c body that is original.  I'm sure it wouldn't be too much different than a b body one.

Bull I'm not sure if this helps but my 68 Charger is a 383 4bbl. I'm pretty sure that in my pic I posted that is the original hose from the original air cleaner. It measures 12" long. I know my air cleaner is different than yours but it looks like the nipples from each air cleaner is from the same general area.
