How do people come up with a price like this, I'm really curious. Now I'm not too familiar with resto mod builds like this but I would think this car could be built within 100k?

Hell we restored my 68 back to original for about $30-35k in parts and body work/ paint not including the cost of the car.

I like the look on their faces....300K car earned them a $9 plaque / trophy? Oh boy....

Is that a scratch on the picture on the bottom of the page? I'd take off 275,000 for that. Went a little overboard with the purple and didn't even clean the grill.

They didn't bother to take off all the undercoating and they were too cheap to rechrome the bumpers. I'm sure it has a lot of work done to it but it also has a lot of corners cut. If I were paying that sort of money for a "custom" then I'd just have it built the way I wanted.

As for how they arrived at that price - if a person paid a shop it could easily have cost that much to do the car and they're trying to recoup their "investment". It won't happen. If it's a shop they're fishing for someone with more money than sense so they can use this car as a springboard for the next ("our last custom sold for $$$$!).

My new excuse for this type of behavior is that every potential buyer seems to start their offers at less than 1/2 the asking price so this may be a way to get near the range they really want. I hate putting things up for sale at reasonable prices only to have people offer me 1/3rd to 1/2 of what I want. I'll just keep it. Thanks.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

WHITE AND RED 69

Was the HEMI on the wheels written with a sharpie?    The paint looks nice but they went overboard with the purple. They couldn't have pulled the wiper and blower motor before spraying? And those purple hose and wire covers are terrible!   :eek2:

Yeah, they definitely messed up on the price.

that car is hideous!    I could build that car for about $60K ---   Hell not to sound arrogant but my car is nicer than that and no where near $300K

It's out of Canada for goodness sake. Whaddya expect...I find it funny as hell. so many are quick to point out the flaws and overpricing on this car, yet NONE commenting are seriously buying. It's dude's car, he can ask $20 million if he wants WTF cares? Here we are acting like he's gonna set the market or something with this vehicle. Just cause there's another out there that thinks his/her car is worth $300K, doens't mean we need to act like he might just get that much for it.
