A little help on mounting wiring covers

I got the new covers from AMD and wanted to make sure that I get them in right.   They look pretty flimsy so I don't want to put them in and take them out.    Picture shows the way I think they go in, right??   They go right up against the standing seam where the sill plate attaches.  The tabs go up to the seam and then the cover folds over the tabs, right?

While waiting on responses I kept looking at these things and I think I may have shown them in backwards.  I think the attached pictures make more sense.  Place the tabs so they point into the car vs to the outside of the car.  Then the wire openings will lead into the car instead up the outside of the sill, quarters etc.  Makes it harder to seam seal the floor but I just have to be carefull how I place the covers. 

Also I assume these things are tack welded in or are they screwed on??

Second pic looks correct. 

They are spot welded from the factory. I have measurements off of my car where the tabs went if you want I can look for them.

I was impatiant to get them in so I went ahead and spotted them in.  Had to trim them some.  I do have one question.  Are yours hinged (with the tabs) on the side towards the seats or the side towards the doors?

Just a little help for those getting ready to add these wiring covers.   I may have got them wrong.  I've been looking at a bunch of cars and I think the short piece that you get from AMD goes to the front of the car with the cutout at the kick panel end.  This may not be clear but I've been looking at several cars on this forum and would guess that this is how they went in.  It would be great if someone would post some pic of a factory installation......  A small point but most seem to just delete the wiring covers..  I'll try to get some pics of how I put them in wrong...

just checked my car, first two photo's are correct mitch those cut out area's are for i think console wiring and maybe power seats wiring to drop over and across floor

Thanks.  I think the first two are correct also, just like to be sure.  The ones from AMD are generic B body covers and have cutouts the are not needed for every car.
