Adjust accelerator pump on Holley 750

I'm getting a small dead spot on initial acceleration. I've set the timing correctly and have a "gut" feel that my accelerator pump is not set up.

Is there a way that I can set the pump so that it will work well, or do I just have to keep messing with it until I get something that feels right?

I have a Holley 750 with a vacuum secondary and electronic choke. I have a 383 with an aluminum intake and headers.

thanks!

Also put a vac gauge on your intake manifold vac port  and check your vac at idle (in gear if auto)to determine your PV size....
Holley states to run a PV half of your vac at idle, some ppl prefer 1.5-2 inch below but i found that i only had about 7.5 Hg at idle and my 750 still had std 6.5PV  which meant is was opening way too soon and was causing a stumble off the line..

I went to a 4.5 and that helped alot, further road tuning (O2 Lambda)and vac testing made me drop down to a 2.5 as it was dropping down quite quick so that helped clean things up a little more and came down from 72 jets to 69 as well.....

This is just my example Bill, its one more thing to look at, everything needs to work together do your homework, use the search bar...its your friend thats how i learnt.

PV first , float level could be a problem low or high  , make sure there is no play in the accelerator pump linkage , you may need a larger squirter .
