My 69 charger came with bucket seats and console, with a woodgrain shift knob, but i have seen some, that have a chrome shift knob. Does this signify something, or its just whatever was on the line, that day? thanks.

Chrome '68-earlier, woodgrain '69-up.
Although, I have heard a few early '69's had the chrome knob.

Thanks, always wondered. :2thumbs:

I have a chrome shifter in my June built 69 and the PO claims it's the original.  I was thinking of finding a beat up woodgrain knob so I can get the exact dimensions and make a real wooden knob, but if I install a T56 that plan will go bye bye as well.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

FWIW my 4/30/69 SPD had a chrome knob in it originally as well....never discovered a rhyme or reason for the either/or as well...
