Very happy with this car. A lot smaller than the 68 Charger... got a lot more high-performance look to it. Was in this exotic import place, car sat next to a V12 aston martin and a nissan skyline GTR34. This mustang literally looked like a beast in there. Totally fits that racer look like those cars.  Absolutely love it.

Balanced 351 4V Cleveland with less than 10,000Kms since rebuild back in 2003, 9-1. TRW Speed pro forged pistons,
Comp Cam (#33-316-4) (280/280 duration -530/530 valve lift) Hyd cam kit, lifters, SPS rod bolts, Edelbrock Torker inlet manifold, Demon 750 Carb, Peter Jackson Gear drive,  Ford racing polished valve covers, Hi Volume oil pump,Mallory Comp9000 ignition system and Massive 3" Ceramic coated headers tuning into a FlowMaster 2 ½ Aluminium coated exhaust system with 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers and a nice set of Megs SS tips.
To keep this staunch monster cooled, it has the big block Aluminium radiator running a 16" pusher fan along with TCI oil cooler and trans cooler and for a tad of stability in the engine bay, a nice chrome Monte Carlo Export brace. Dyno report punched out 400Hp @ the wheels

The transmission is a Rebuilt C6 with a moderate but very streetable stall converter and shift kit, TCI aluminium deep transmission pan delivering power to the classic Limited slip Ford 9" diff/Detroit locker running brand new 3.70 ring and pinion gears.

American racing wheels (16x7- 16x8) sporting BFG 245/50's on the front and a nice set of BFG 295/50's on the rear

Factory Air Con, Factory tilt-steering, factory fold down rear seat.

I been looking for my dream super-car and I found it :icon_smile_big:

Not sure how accurate the engine specs are... but apparently that is what's been stated.

my Brother is a die hard chey guy, back in his younger days he had a red on black 69 mach 1 428 SCJ. Would squawk the tires on the 2nd to drive shift at 80+mph with 4 people in it.

He never would have guessed that it was the most valuable car he had owned.

Hey and thanks.

It has been a long search for me to find the right car. Started with a 70 Challenger EF8 Paint code, dark green metallic 383ci 4 barrel car. Car was nice, 'sportyish' styling but to me lacked the real 'intimidating' look of a nasty ass beast. So I switched over to a 1968 Dodge Charger, which at least to me with that blacked out grill, looked like a real BEAST... however, driving the car felt like a boat. Did not have that high performance feel I wanted. Yeah prior to that I had a trans-am 1987 which felt right but wasnt a muscle car. So I kept looking and experimenting.

Finally found my search in the 69 Mustang Fastback. Looks like a beast, sits like a high performance car, nice and tight feeling inside the cabin, its got everything I been looking for. So I am very happy. My car search has finally come to a close  :yesnod:

I was trying to avoid that car for 10 years because it was a "Ford", in looking at my first challenger I was hoping to 'replace' the FORD with something else, but inevitably nothing could have replaced that particular look and I am back to square one. Should have done it 10 years ago and saved all the mucking around. But maybe I would not have appreciated it as much as I do now that I have tried everything else first.

yep one of my fav shape mustangs well done :2thumbs:
