BIG BLOCK - Drive shaft Question

I just got done swapping a 318/904 to a 440/727.  i plan on getting a chrome Molly 3"dia shaft with 1350 U Joints, I just want to confirm measurements of the length ( center of u joint to center of u joint)  i know theirs gotta to be someone running that setup.  I eagerly await responses!

Dana 60 and 8 3/4 rears had different length shafts BTW.

I assume you are still running the 8 3/4 rear?

my apologies its an 8.75 rear end with new yoke to accept 1350 ujoint

I am guessing that the length measurement for the drive shaft is from center of U-Joint attachment HOLE to center of U-Joint attachment HOLE??  I would not think that it would include any portion of the U-Joints.  Please correct me if my thinking is wrong.

so then the standard length being used is 52.07"  is that an accurate number to compare to?  what lengths have peopel been using ?

Keep in mind that the dimensions of the 1350 yokes aren't necessarily the same as the factory yokes and that could skew the driveshaft length measurement.

This is a case where I would ignore the factory data and measure the actual installation.

yeah im getting about 51 inches , that with the longer 1350 rear yoke

the strange 1350 rear yoke is 3 3/8 and the stock one is 2 5/8 for bb

stock drive shaft for a bb 52.07

I was just curious as to who is running a stranage drive shaft with 1350 u joints and what measurements they came up with and what trans yoke they are using ?
