:'( well guys its with a heavy heart I tell ya all that last night my dad lost his battle with cancer. After his initial diagnosis and a year and a half battle he decided enough was enough and after a long tough battle he is now gone to a better place.  I would like to thank you all here for all your help and all your kind words through all this.  This car have him much joy and at times a reason to get up and get out.  Before he passed he was always sure to show pictures to all his nurses and tell them all about gr8ce. He asked that she lead the procession to the Cemetery.   Things are hard but one day it'll all be normal again.  Thanks to you all.  Give your loved ones an extra hug an extra kiss and an extra I love you tonight. Life is precious and fragile and sometimes too short.  Take advantage of all the times you've got.

Is been tough but being with family always helps.  Sadly death helps to put things into perspective sometimes.  Occasionally I find myself questioning this or that our whether I should have done this or that but family keeps you grounded.  Thanks skip.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Mike,

I am sorry to hear this.  My prayers are with you and your family.

It may be hard, but do not keep questioning yourself, should have done this or that. . . ect.  It will drive you crazy.  Just remember you are a good son who tried to bring a little joy into your fathers last remaining years.  You did what you were able to do.  May God be with you and  your family at this difficult time.
